The first and most important resource you will need is the book INDO, SURF & LINGO by Peter Neely. I used this to plan my first of 10 trips to Indonesia & Bali & apart from subscribing to my Blog, this is the most valuable resource you can have. With the updated versions I still to this day use this guide for all my trips.
It includes subjects like Accommodation, surf camps, maps, money, food, language & awesome photos of all the places to surf. However for me the most valuable sections were the tips on what type of wave you are looking at & the best tides to surf it. This is extremely important as if you go at the wrong tide you may just miss out on the waves of your life! I plan my trips around the tides & score every trip.
